Terms of Service

1. The Service

"Qiass" is a multi-tenant cloud school-management platform with embedded AI, providing student management, assignments, assessments, analytics, wellbeing monitoring, educational games, and communication between stakeholders.

2. Accounts

Accounts are created by an authorized school principal. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all actions taken under your account. Report any suspected unauthorized access to security@qiassapp.com.

3. School responsibilities

• Obtain required parental consents for minor students.
• Keep billing details current.
• Respond to data correction requests from students or parents within 30 days.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the Platform for:

• Any activity violating Saudi Arabian law.
• Denial-of-service attacks, unauthorized security testing, exploiting vulnerabilities.
• Attempting to access another school's data.
• Offensive, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate content.

5. AI output

The platform uses AI to assist with grading, content generation, and chat. AI output may contain errors or biases. The teacher is ultimately responsible for any grade, recommendation, or content published to students. Always review before publishing.

6. Subscription & Payment

• Subscription begins on the activation date after a 14-day free trial.
• Default payments are in UAE Dirham (AED) via Stripe. Other currencies are available for schools registered in different jurisdictions (SAR for KSA, EGP for Egypt, JOD for Jordan, USD for the United States).
• VAT applied per the school's country: 5% UAE, 15% KSA, 14% Egypt, 16% Jordan; US sales tax handled per-state.
• Auto-renewal applies unless cancelled at least 7 days before the period ends.
• Unpaid invoices over 30 days old result in account suspension.

7. Cancellation & Refunds

Schools may cancel from the dashboard at any time. There are no refunds for already-paid months. Data remains available for export for 30 days after cancellation.

8. Suspension & Termination

Qiass may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, suffer a security compromise, or are over 60 days delinquent. We give 14 days' written notice before termination (except in cases of fraud or serious security violations).

9. Intellectual Property

The platform, software, interfaces, models, and trademarks are the exclusive property of Qiass. Content created by schools (assignments, lesson plans, …) remains the school's property, while granting Qiass a non-exclusive license to process it for providing the service.

10. Disclaimer

The platform is provided "as is". We invest continuously in reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Target uptime is 99.5% monthly. Disaster RTO is 1 hour, RPO is 24 hours.

11. Limitation of Liability

Qiass's liability for any service-related damage is limited to the amount paid by the school during the 12 months prior to the damage. We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or reputational harm.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute is referred to the federal courts of the UAE. For schools registered in other jurisdictions, the local law and venue of the country selected on the school's account applies.

13. Changes

We reserve the right to amend these terms. Material changes are notified 30 days before the effective date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
